Stüssy x Denim Tears are back with a fresh new collaboration, blending preppy school attire with sporty aesthetics in a collection inspired by Denim Tears founder Tremaine Emory’s high school days in Jamaica, Queens. The 17-piece collection, known as ‘Stüssy Tears,’ reimagines classic school uniforms while incorporating bold graphics and deep cultural references.
One of the standout features of this collection is the fictional ‘Jamaica Spades Club,’ a concept brought to life through unique emblems, card-inspired motifs, and a blazer bearing the club’s insignia. A closer look at the designs reveals subtle details, like houndstooth wool transformed into spade symbols and card suit icons appearing as buttons on a sleek black cardigan. Even Stüssy’s signature 8-Ball logo gets a redesign, now featuring a spade emblem.
This collaboration is a narrative-driven collection that fuses heritage and street culture. The Stüssy x Denim Tears collection launches on February 14, coinciding with the opening of Stüssy’s New York chapter store.
