Orange seems to be the color for this new era, as shown by Swift’s matte lip. If we know one thing about the singer, it’s that she and her team plan every step of an album launch to a tee, with plenty of seemingly innocuous Easter eggs along the way. So while some may call the Swifties crazy, all the hints have taught her fans to analyze every detail, all the way down to her lipstick color.
In this case, her choice in lipstick is pretty simple and straightforward: Swift wearing an orange lipstick with a velvety matte finish to match her upcoming album. Based on the orange lettering on the briefcase and her new green and orange Instagram profile picture, these two colors will be taking center stage on The Life of a Showgirl.
The day before the New Heights clip was shared Taylor Nation, which is Swift’s official social media team, posted a carousel of photos of the singer wearing orange (including one photo with Sabrina Carpenter, causing fans to wonder if Carpenter will be featured on the new album, but that’s beside the point right now), so the color orange is really the main theme here.
