Swiss menswear brand Strellson has unveiled its pre-fall 2027 collection, titled ‘From Switzerland to Japan’. The line takes its cue from Tokyo and combines the brand’s Swiss roots with influences from the Japanese capital.
For the collection, Strellson draws on the atmosphere of different parts of the city, from the quiet streets of Shibuya and the suited commuters of Shinjuku to the narrow backstreets of Shimokitazawa. The brand frames the season around the idea of being a traveller rather than a tourist.
Japanese denim meets tailoring
Japanese denim, a textile craft with a long heritage, forms the core of the collection. Strellson gives the material an urban, contemporary treatment, pairing clean cuts with modern tailoring and bringing denim together with more formal elements.
Two suits anchor the line: a black double-breasted suit and a single-breasted suit made from denim. With the latter, the brand shows how far the fabric can be taken into tailoring.
The colour palette follows the traditions of Japanese denim, ranging from light indigo to deep, saturated blue washes. Mahogany and black pieces add accents, while striped shirts bring a more relaxed note to the collection.
According to Strellson, the pre-fall 2027 collection is aimed at men who believe style has no boundaries, both geographically and in their choice of fabric.
