Red Wing Heritage introduces a colourfeul take on argiably its most iconic silhouette for Early Fall 2026. Launching on Tuesday 28 July, the new 8809 Classic Moc arrives in an exclusive Tidal Blue Muleskinner leather, bringing together two enduring wardrobe staples: the unmistakable Red Wing Classic Moc and the rich indigo tones of denim.

Developed exclusively by Red Wing’s own SB Foot Tannery in Minnesota, the new Tidal Blue Roughout leather offers a distinctive finish that feels both contemporary and timeless. The result is a bold seasonal update that remains true to the craftsmanship and durability at the heart of every Red Wing Heritage boot.
While Roughout leather is often mistaken for suede, the two are fundamentally different. Rather than being split from the hide, Red Wing Roughout retains the full-grain structure, delivering exceptional strength, natural water resistance and long-lasting performance. Its textured surface is also highly practical, disguising everyday wear while requiring minimal maintenance, making it one of Red Wing’s most durable leather constructions.
Originally introduced in 1952, the Classic Moc has become one of the world’s most recognisable lifestyle boots. Designed initially for sportspeople before earning its reputation with farm and factory workers, the silhouette has remained largely unchanged for more than 70 years. Every pair continues to be built using the same methods that established its reputation, including Puritan triple stitching, a Goodyear leather welt and the signature Traction Tred rubber outsole, combining durability, comfort and dependable grip.

To mark the launch, Red Wing Heritage has collaborated with Austin-based multimedia artist and photographer Laura Rostad, whose cyanotype practice provided the creative inspiration for the campaign. Drawing on the deep blue tones synonymous with indigo and denim, Rostad created a series of cyanotype artworks that celebrate the character of the new Tidal Blue leather through sustainable, hands-on printmaking techniques using natural materials and photography.
