Princess Charlene epitomised evening glamour on 13 March as she stepped out alongside Prince Albert to attend the Provale Solidarité charity gala at the Hotel Georges V in Paris.
Making an appearance at the event, which supports rugby players facing hardship after their careers, Charlene, 48, was a vision in navy as she stepped out in Oscar de la Renta’s ‘Mosaic Crystal Embroidered Cady Gown’.
Princess Charlene’s glitzy gown
The gown, which was identified by Royal Fashion Police on Instagram, retails for £10,570 in the UK and featured a glorious crystal-encrusted bodice with capped sleeves and a crew neckline. The designer look also came with a figure-skimming skirt which pooled around her feet.

A stylist’s verdict
© AFP via Getty ImagesIt’s a look that caught the attention of fashion stylist, Leanne Jones. “Leaning into her signature preference for bold, dark monochrome, Charlene’s beautiful navy Oscar de la Renta piece is elevated by jewel-encrusted detailing at the décolletage, which adds a striking touch of glamour and truly lifts the design,” she tells us.
“There appears to have been some subtle tailoring and editing to the jewel features at the décolletage to really make this piece Charlene’s own, and then of course, the earrings, perfectly reflect the diamond detailing on the dress.”
Princess Charlene in Oscar de la Renta

Perhaps the most memorable dress worn by the princess and masterminded by the Dominican designer came in 2018 when she attended the Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean, an ocean conservation fundraiser.

The dramatic neckline and caped silhouette were accentuated by her short hairdo – truly sublime.
