Capturing the style and confidence of runners beyond the finish line.

Following over two years of development, KEEN entered the trail running category in Fall/Winter 2025 with the
launch of the SEEK trail runner. Building on more than 20 years of trail expertise and its Consciously Created
approach, the brand brought its signature durability and comfort into a lighter, more responsive format.
Combining performance innovation with genuine runner insights and a deep connection to the trail, SEEK laid
the foundation for KEEN’s entry into the world of trail running. In early 2026, the range expanded with the
introduction of ROAM, an adaptive daily trail runner designed for versatility across gravel, dirt and road.
To celebrate the Spring/Summer season, and the return of longer days spent on the trail, KEEN partnered with
114.index, a curatorial platform blending outdoor culture and style, to present both models through a different
lens. The shoot was inspired by time spent at trail running events, where runners often appear at their best after a run. This lived-in state reflects a moment where performance is proven and style fully realised.
“There’s something about the way you carry yourself after a long run, a certain confidence, both in yourself
and in the shoes that carried you through,” says Lewis Wilson, lead of 114.index. “This is what we wanted to
highlight in this shoot.” Trail running footwear is rarely seen in a studio setting, and for that reason, the team chose not to present the shoes in pristine condition.


“We went ahead and dirtied them up before they’d ever been worn, leaning into how trail running shoes
naturally appear, used,” Wilson continues. “These images are meant to capture two runners who have just
finished a run together and stepped straight into the studio. We recreated looks using familiar trail kit for the
transitional spring season, compression socks, running belts, head torches and always extra layers.”
