Is Kat Stickler dating John Mayer or not? The influencer seemed to address the rumors in a TikTok video posted on October 14, but, let’s be honest, she could have been clearer. All we really know for sure is that Stickler has cut her hair into a bob and that she doesn’t have a boyfriend.
In the video, an unseen voice asks Stickler if she’s single. Stickler replies, “Yeah, I already told you that.” By which she means that she got a bob, and a good friend should be able to read between the lines. “I cut all my hair off,” she says, pointing to her new ‘do. “You think I just did that for no reason? It holds memories. Look at the distance from my shoulder to my hair, okay. I thought you knew me better than that. This is a cry for help. This is a tell-tale sign of a relationship gone bad.”
Frankly, we’d be more concerned if Stickler suddenly got bangs out-of-the-blue, but that’s beside the point. Stickler is saying she does not currently have a boyfriend, and her last relationship ended badly somehow—but she doesn’t mention Mayer at all.
The rumors of a thing between Kat Stickler and John Mayer began when DeuxMoi posted a grainy photo of the two of them having dinner together in New York City. The gossip site also claimed that this was the second of two dates Mayer and Stickler were seen on together. We also know that, over the summer, Stickler was dating someone, because she posted videos with the mystery man to TikTok, but never showed his face.
Which leaves us with a few possible interpretations of Stickler’s TikTok. One possibility: The faceless man from her TikTok was Mayer, and they broke up sometime in the past couple of days. Another possibility: The faceless man is a normie whom Stickler dated for a few months, but the relationship ended badly, and now she is rebounding with Mayer. Or: The bob-prompting breakup was with Mayer, whom Stickler dated after the faceless man. Alternatively, Stickler and Mayer could just be buddies, which we understand is the least exciting possibility here, but we’d be remiss to ignore it.
