The very next day, Jennifer Lopez’s makeup artist Rokael Lizama created a similar look for the singer during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, using a pop of pastel eyeshadow to compliment the singer’s blue feathered Celia Kritharioti robe and bedazzled gown. Like Zendaya, Lopez’s makeup also featured a strong contour and feminine pink blush, which was topped off with a nude lip and liner combo.
According to celebrity makeup artist Desirae Cherman, Zendaya and J.Lo’s beauty looks are the natural “evolution of two iconic beauty aesthetics.”
“You’ve got the warmth and glow of latte makeup paired with soft washes of icy blue that nod to the disco era and the early 2000s, but with today’s techniques,” Cherman tells Glamour. The combo is certainly bold enough for the red carpet and fashion week, but it’s also quite wearable for date night or a chic summer wedding.
“It feels playful enough for summer yet still looks sophisticated, as the skin stays fresh, radiant, and natural,” says Cherman. “It’s not about bringing frosty blue eyeshadow back exactly as we remember it. It’s about reimagining it in a softer, more elevated way.”

For the skin, Cherman suggests starting with “a fresh, radiant complexion” by nixing the beauty sponge in favor of applying foundation with a makeup brush. “I like to feather it into the skin with a brush,” she says. “This technique creates a lighter, more airbrushed finish while allowing you to build coverage only where it’s actually needed.”
