Double-breasted suits
The double-breasted suit comes with two parallel vertical rows of buttons, on both sides of the jacket. In most cases, this suit is seen with 6 buttons, however, in rare cases, you can find it with 8 buttons in total. The minimum number of buttons you will find is 4. As with the single button suit, it is essential to always leave the last button undone.

The classic single button suit is characterised by its single row of buttons and is one of the most commonly used suit types. This suit is usually seen with one button, however, it can also have a single row of up to 3 buttons. With this suit, it is important to know the golden rule: Always leave the last button undone, if your jacket has more than one button. The fewer buttons the jacket has, the more casual the suit will be.
Features: Single row of buttons, up to 3 buttons maximum, can have peak lapel, notch or shawl. Effect: slimming the waist, draws attention away from the stomach.
Modern cut suits:
A modern cut suit shares some similarities with the slim fit. Although it has a close fit, it is a bit more relaxed than a slim fit, which makes it much more versatile.
