For a second season, Gloverall and Japanese label Norbit come together to explore the meeting point between British outerwear heritage and contemporary outdoor design. Built on a shared appreciation for purposeful clothing, the collaboration introduces a new Dufflewool Peacoat alongside an updated version of the Morris Coat, first introduced in our original partnership.
The Morris Coat 2.0 takes the familiar language of the duffle coat and reworks it through Norbit’s technical approach. Cut to an oversized silhouette, it retains recognisable details including a generous hood, throat tab, buffalo horn toggles and leather loop fastenings. A three-layer performance fabric combines the warmth of Polartec® fleece with a windproof membrane and tricot backing, while Cordura 305D panels reinforce key areas. Elbow patches, an adjustable drawcord waist and generous four-way pockets add further practicality.
New to the collection, the fully reversible Dufflewool Peacoat takes its cues from Gloverall’s Churchill Peacoat, reworking the classic naval silhouette through Norbit’s contemporary Japanese perspective. One side is crafted from Polartec® fleece with a two-layer construction, combining a soft outer with a windproof membrane for added protection from the elements. A double-breasted front and traditional anchor button fastenings retain the character of the original peacoat.

Reverse it to reveal a nylon shell finished with traditional Japanese-inspired onion quilting, reinterpreted by Norbit designer Hiroshi Nozawa through his distinctive approach to workwear and functional design. Insulated with Gloverall’s signature Dufflewool for warmth without unnecessary bulk, the quilted construction brings a distinctly Japanese character to the familiar naval silhouette. Exposed fleece trims, elbow patches and a generous arrangement of internal and external pockets complete the design.
Together, the two styles bring Gloverall’s longstanding outerwear heritage together with Norbit’s technical Japanese design, creating purposeful outerwear made for changing conditions and years of wear.
The collection is available to pre-order now. Ships this October.
