Gianluca Vacchi, 59, stood in the lavender field on his private estate near Bologna in a dusty pink double breasted linen blazer he had seen for the first time that morning. He had not picked it, and that is the unusual part. Vacchi wears what he chooses himself. By the end of the day, he had picked that picture for the cover.
The blazer and the field jacket came from Hockerty, the Zurich made to measure label. Hernán Ripiert, fashion director of the magazine, approved both and styled the shoot. There had been no fitting, and every piece was made individually for him, in a single copy.

On camera he commented on the result: “It’s the first time I’m wearing something that isn’t mine, but I love it, it looks like it was cut right on my body.” (original statement in Spanish)
Hockerty proposed the garments. Vacchi picked the cover shot. Ignacio Ferreyra, director of XMAG, confirmed in writing that Vacchi chose the frame with the pink blazer out of everything available.

Inside the editorial he wears a blue linen field jacket, buttoned, with nothing underneath but a gold chain. The blazer and the field jacket are Hockerty. The shirt and the trousers are other brands.
