Heritage-Honoring Collabs : REEF x Wahine

REEF and Wahine have launched a limited-edition capsule designed to celebrate surf culture, creative expression, and the spirit of Hawai‘i. The collection, available exclusively at Wahinehonolulu.com, marks a first-time collaboration between the iconic coastal lifestyle brand and the Honolulu-based label founded by multi-hyphenate Evan Mock.

Co-designed by REEF ambassador and pro surfer Makoa Ho, the REEF x Wahine drop includes two reinvented flip-flop styles: a black unisex REEF ‘Smoothy’ with rhinestone accents and platform sole, and a women’s REEF ‘Ginger’ sandal in butter yellow and navy. Together, the pieces blend nostalgic 90s beachwear with modern island aesthetics rooted in community, culture, and personal storytelling.

This capsule underscores REEF’s brand evolution into fashion-forward, culturally resonant territory while bolstering Wahine’s momentum as a label with both island authenticity and international appeal. The exclusive nature and strong co-branding may drive sell-through and deepen consumer engagement in niche, style-driven segments.
