Usher’s name is trending again, and he’s taking full advantage of the spotlight.

The “Superstar” singer has landed at Paris Fashion Week, hot on the heels of news about his 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show performance. On Wednesday, he attended the Marni womenswear spring-summer 2024 fashion show in an outfit that was hard to miss. The singer’s bold red polka-dotted Marni topcoat and trousers were paired with overstuffed shoes, a shirt, and driving gloves in the same crimson shade. A pair of pearl- and diamond-set brooches was affixed to one of his lapels, and the performer finished the look off with gem-set necklaces, a pair of gobstopper-sized diamond earrings, and black sunglasses.

Having rocked a fiery-red fade haircut for a few months earlier this year, it may be safe to assume the singer is fond of the bold color—especially when aiming to make a statement. And if it weren’t for Marni’s extensive use of color throughout its collections, his polka-dot look might have been the most memorable from the front row. The 44-year-old, however, was sat between stars including R&B singer Erykah Badu (who wore a yellow windowpane suit and a tophat that would make the Mad Hatter jealous), and French pop star Aya Nakamura (in an unforgettable colorblocked blue dress) that covered the full spectrum of primary colors.

Other stars in attendance at the Marni show included actor Damon Idris, Atlanta rapper Quavo of Migos, HBO’s Insecure series creator Issa Rae, and Kimora Lee Simmons’s daughter Ming Lee Simmons. Like Usher, these stars were all dressed in the brand’s statement-making fall 2023 garb, which was shown on the runway in Tokyo in February. Fast-forward to today, and the Milanese brand’s spring 2024 show marks its first fashion show in Paris—which was held at a central-city palais once lived in by the late, great Karl Lagerfeld.

Usher is reportedly planning to embark on a world tour immediately after his Super Bowl XVIII performance. Sources close to the singer say he might make the announcement in February during his halftime show set, Billboard claims. His team is also said to be currently placing holds on global arenas, further heightening speculations. And once he gets those agreements in place, all he’ll have to decide is what to wear.
