Pitti Immagine Bimbo opened its doors for the 98th time, the trade show took place from January 17 to 19 at the Fortezza de Basso in Florence.
This edition centered around the theme “PittiTime,” delving into the multifaceted nature of time, encompassing the perceived and intuited aspects to the tangible, virtual, fleeting, and ungraspable. The emphasis was on highlighting that time is not a uniform flow strictly measured by clocks but a dynamic force that accelerates, decelerates, and seeks its own rhythm.

Sustainability, tailoring, “made in Italy,” and contemporary styles were the focal points chosen by Pitti Bimbo to navigate the future of kidswear. The fair distinguished itself through a diverse array of brands, collectively shaping an ideal wardrobe within the exhibition itinerary. From classical to sportswear, cutting-edge to contemporary brands, street style to luxury, and even accessories, toys, skincare products, eyewear, and bijoux – all were featured. This diversity aims to cater to new family attitudes and provide a comprehensive shopping experience, both in physical and online stores.
Agostino Poletto, the General Manager of Pitti Immagine, highlighted the transformative nature of Pitti Bimbo as an event. He emphasized the fair’s role as a reliable compass for professionals in the kidswear and family lifestyle sector, offering insights into evolving scenarios influenced by new lifestyles, consumer trends, and social changes.

The January edition of Pitti Bimbo placed a strong emphasis on green materials, tailored clothing, and cocoon atmospheres, anticipating a trend in the world of kidswear towards rediscovering traditional values, quality, and excellence. Footwear trends saw a return to leather shoes, especially those rigorously made in Italy, alongside the continued focus on sustainability.

The atmosphere at Pitti Bimbo was characterized by creativity and professionalism, with various events, exhibitions, and international guests, including influencers, experts, journalists, designers, and bloggers. However, the true stars were the kids, with events like Petite Parade and brand presentations, including Molo’s performance by an 8-year-old DJ, JJ Vannelli, who brought a unique blend of beats to the event.

The editorial research dedicated to concept stores at this edition explored the growing trend of the pajama party in the kids’ world. Stylist Maria Giulia Pieroni curated a special area titled “Pajama Party!” showcasing collections, accessories, and lifestyle ideas.
Numerous discussions, seminars, and presentations during the show highlighted the future of the children’s fashion market. Additionally, a new section introduced at Pitti Bimbo was Pitti Pets, featuring products for furry family members, expanding the scope of the trade show beyond children’s fashion.
