Award season is in full swing—and perhaps feels extra loaded this year, thanks to the writers’ and actors’ strikes that delayed the Primetime Emmy Awards, placing them smack between the Golden Globes and the Grammys. According to the red carpet, celebrities haven’t lost momentum yet. Last night served up some stellar fashion moments, particularly when it comes to accessories. Like the Golden Globes, we continued to notice the theme of more pared down, understated looks. However, a few stars still came to steal the spotlight with some bling that left us swooning. These are seven of our top jewelry sightings from the Emmy’s.
Jessica Chastain in Reza
Jessica Chastain is no stranger to award ceremonies, receiving countless nominations and wins over the course of her career. This year, she notched her second Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her portrayal of country singer Tammy Wynette in the miniseries George & Tammy. Sadly, this year didn’t bring her a win, but in our eyes, she takes the cake for one of the most daring looks on the red carpet. She paired a custom, neon-green sequined Gucci gown with Reza’s Manhattan earrings, featuring a combination of emerald-cut emeralds, yellow diamond radiants, princess-cut diamonds, baguette diamonds, and brilliant diamonds along with a trio of rings: Reza’s Heritage, Pillow, and Circle rings to be exact, which also feature emeralds as well as yellow and white diamonds.
Colman Domingo in Louis Vuitton and Reza
One of our favorite parts of this award season has been seeing men step up their accessories game with some bold jewelry choices. Colman Domingo has been at the forefront of the trend, sporting a duo of brooches from David Yurman at the Golden Globes. At last night’s Primetime Emmy Awards, Domingo upped his jewelry game even more, pairing his custom Louis Vuitton suit with a pearl necklace, brooch, and bracelet also by Louis Vuitton as well as another bracelet, earrings and rings by Reza. Men, take note: Domingo is becoming the type of style icon we’d like to see more of on the red carpet.
Janelle James in Fred Leighton and Kwiat
Abbott Elementary start Janelle James joined a number of fellow cast members up for awards at this year’s Emmys. Though she lost the win for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series to Ayo Edebiri of The Bear, she came dressed to impress. James chose a commanding red gown from Rodarte for the occasion and paired it with jewelry from Fred Leighton and Kwiat. Her Fred Leighton necklace features 1920s natural diamonds and an aquamarine briolette paired with diamond bracelets and rings that also date back to the 1920s. She topped off the look with simple studs from Kwait.
Elizabeth Debicki in Dior
In the wake of her wins at both the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards, Elizabeth Debicki came to the Primetime Emmy’s hopeful to land a third win this season for her portrayal of the legendary Princess Diana in The Crown. Unfortunately, she lost to White Lotus‘s Jennifer Coolidge, but she came dressed to impress nonetheless. As a proud Dior ambassador since 2021, Debicki came dressed head to toe in the Parisian designer from her velvet haute couture gown to her stack of gold and diamond Bois de Rose bracelets and earrings.
Christina Ricci in Martin Katz
When it comes to some of the boldest fashion looks at last night’s Primetime Emmy Awards, Christina Ricci was among the most avant-garde. The award show veteran graced the red carpet alongside her fellow cast members of Yellowjackets hopeful for an Emmy win for Best Drama Series. While the show ultimately lost to Succession, Ricci stunned in a Saint Laurent gown with a plunging neckline that perfectly framed her Martin Katz Diamonds by the Yard necklace in 18-karat white gold, complete with a gorgeous tassel crafted of emerald beads surrounded by diamond bezels and set in 18-karat yellow gold.
Selena Gomez in Tiffany & Co.
Selena Gomez has also been a frontrunner when it comes to style this award season. While she’s yet to score a win this year for her portrayal of Mabel Mora in Only Murderers in the Building, she has continued to dress like a winner and bring her A-game to the red carpet. For last night’s Emmy Awards, Gomez opted for Tiffany & Co. Her jaw-dropping Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany Bird on a Rock necklace features a platinum setting along with 18-karat yellow-gold accents and a combination of more than 35 carats of morganite, diamonds, and pink sapphires. She paired it with Schlumberger’s matching flower ring.
Sarah Snook in Cartier
For us, the top look of the night was Succession star Sarah Snook, who dazzled in Cartier. Snook has been cleaning house this award season for her portrayal of Shiv Roy in the HBO hit, notching a Golden Globe, Critics’ Choice Award, and now an Emmy for Best Actress in a Drama Series. Last night, Snook chose a bold yet elegant red gown from Vivienne Westwood and paired it with two stunning high jewelry pieces from Cartier: an 18-karat white-gold necklace with diamonds and emeralds and matching 18-karat white-gold earrings with diamonds and emeralds. In addition to these statement pieces, she sported a more understated line bracelet and Panthère ring. According to E!, Snook told Cartier, “Make sure you tell my husband how to take them off and definitely how to keep them on!”
