Looks like David Beckham’s on a press tour of his own.
Fresh off the heels of his new Netflix docuseries release, Beckham, the former soccer champ touched down in the Middle East over the weekend for one of racing’s biggest events. On Saturday, he was photographed walking into the paddock during the sprint shootout ahead of the F1 Grand Prix of Qatar at Lusail International Circuit. Dressed for the heat, the star donned a seersucker blazer over a navy polo shirt with white trousers and raspberry-hued loafers.

Beckham’s tattoos added an edge to the breezy outfit, which he also complemented with black shades and what seems to be a Tudor Black Bay 39. The 39 mm time-only watch, crafted from stainless steel, houses a blue dial protected by a sapphire crystal and is powered by the brand’s MT5602 caliber. The automatic movement with a bidirectional rotor system provides Posh Spice’s husband with a 70-hour power reserve. And unlike many watches worn by celebrities, this one stands out at a relatively accessible $4,250.

On Sunday, Beckham posed with the Alpine F1 team in a second look that would be equally at home in a less sweltering climate. F1 champ Max Verstappen told Reuters that “it was way too hot to drive,” this past Sunday, as daytime temperatures peaked at over 105 degrees Fahrenheit in Qatar. But that didn’t stop Beckham from rocking a double-breasted checkered blazer to take pics with fans and racing teams. To be fair, he paired the blazer with a crisp white tee, white trousers, and a grin that signaled he was having fun in spite of the heat.
The 48-year-old also reportedly took a tour of the McLaren garage and met with the marque’s F1 racer Lando Norris while in town. Beckham will be making an appearance at the hotly-anticipated Las Vegas Grand Prix this November, too. News broke in July that he and NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal are co-hosting an F1 party at Club Sports Illustrated, where they will discuss their high-profile careers at and mingle with club guests before the racing starts.
