As we move into autumn, denim naturally returns to the centre of the everyday wardrobe. Heavier fabrics, relaxed silhouettes and washed finishes all work particularly well as temperatures begin to fall, and Elwood is leaning into the season with a fresh selection of denim alongside the return of one of its most popular heavyweight hoodies.
The latest September arrivals introduce new washes across the brand’s baggy and straight-leg fits, but arguably the most interesting addition is an entirely new silhouette: the Tapered Knee Denim Pant.
With relaxed denim continuing to dominate menswear, Elwood’s latest collection offers several interpretations of the trend, ranging from wide-leg jeans to a more sculpted tapered shape.
Tapered Knee Denim Pant – $115
The standout from the latest drop is the new Tapered Knee Denim Pant, priced at $115.
Designed with a relaxed shape through the thigh, the jeans feature a knee dart that creates a distinctive taper towards the lower leg. It gives the trousers a more architectural silhouette than conventional tapered denim, tapping into the exaggerated proportions that have become increasingly visible across contemporary menswear.
Grinding and distressed detailing around the rise and back pocket edges introduce a worn-in character without pushing the jeans too heavily into distressed-denim territory.
Two washes are available, Washed Black and Sandbox, with the latter emerging as an early favourite. Its warm sand-toned finish offers an alternative to traditional blue and black denim and makes the jeans particularly easy to combine with neutral autumn layers.
Baggy Denim Pant – $100
For those who prefer more volume, Elwood’s Baggy Denim Pant delivers a wide-leg, mid-rise silhouette constructed from substantial 13.7oz rigid cotton denim.
At $100, there is plenty of attention to detail, including heavy-duty pocket lining, branded metal rivets and a suede back patch.

Five washes provide noticeably different looks. Even Indigo offers the cleanest finish with no distressing, while Everyday Blue sits between raw and heavily faded denim. Vintage Indigo introduces natural tonal variation, soft whiskering and a more lived-in appearance.
Washed Black provides an understated faded alternative, while Blue Haze takes classic indigo into a darker, muted blue finish. Pair them with chunky trainers, workwear-inspired footwear or a simple oversized T-shirt for an easy everyday look.
Straight Leg Denim Pant – $100
A good straight-leg jean remains one of the most versatile pieces you can own, and Elwood’s Straight Leg Denim Pant keeps things deliberately uncomplicated.
Constructed from heavyweight 14.9oz rigid cotton denim, the $100 jeans have a relaxed straight fit and mid-rise waist.

There are two options: Washed Black and Vintage Indigo. The latter features subtle whiskering and light veining through the legs, giving the denim the appearance of a pair that has already been naturally broken in.
It is perhaps the easiest silhouette in the collection to incorporate into an existing wardrobe, working equally well with a sweatshirt and trainers or a smarter jacket and leather footwear.
The Rectangle Hoodie Returns
Denim isn’t the only highlight from Elwood’s September arrivals. After being unavailable for a year, the cult-favourite Rectangle Hoodie is finally back.
Priced at $95, it is made from substantial 520 GSM heavyweight cotton fleece and features a deliberately oversized, boxy construction. Exaggerated dropped shoulders and longer sleeves are balanced by a slightly cropped hem, creating the proportions that have made heavyweight hoodies such an important part of modern casualwear.

A metal snap at the hood and vintage wash add character, with Ash Grey, Black Ink and Dull Brown colourways available.
Together, the new arrivals make a strong case for relaxed proportions this autumn. With denim available in sizes 26–38 and the Rectangle Hoodie running from XS–XXL, the entire collection is cut and presented as unisex.
For transitional dressing, combining Elwood’s heavyweight hoodie with its new rigid denim could be one of the easiest ways to embrace the looser silhouettes shaping autumn style.
