LONDON — Dunhill will be guest designer at the 111th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo, with plans to show its fall 2027 collection on Jan. 14 in Florence. The fall 2027 edition of Pitti will run from Jan. 12 to 15.
An announcement is expected Tuesday.
Dunhill said the salon show will draw on the “centuries-long relationship” between the English and the city of Florence. “From the 19th century onward, generations of Anglo-Florentines have made the city their home, bringing a distinctly British approach to dress, and the art of living, to a place where craftsmanship shapes daily life.”
It added, “There is an enduring love story in that Anglo-Florentine exchange: The restraint and rigor of English style set against the artistry and elegance of Florence. This dialogue serves as the starting point” for the fall 2027 collection by Dunhill.
Dunhill’s creative director Simon Holloway said Pitti Uomo holds a singular place in menswear, “and it is a great honor to be invited to present the collection here. To bring our cutting-edge classicism to Florence within a forum that has played such an important role in celebrating the art of menswear, feels especially meaningful.”
Ivano Cauli, chief executive officer of Pitti Immagine, said “the presence of a brand as charismatic as Dunhill, which draws on the very best of British sartorial tradition while reinterpreting it through a contemporary lens, reaffirms Pitti Uomo’s importance and unique position on the international menswear calendar. It also highlights the event’s ability to move effortlessly between timeless style and the vibrant energy of the present.”
Francesca Tacconi, special events manager at Pitti Immagine, said the brand “brings a distinctly British sense of refinement and individuality to menswear, rooted in tradition yet unafraid to challenge its rules. We are delighted to welcome dunhill to Florence as guest designer for Pitti Uomo 111.”
Dunhill, which is owned by Richemont, was founded in London in 1893. Although it’s best known for tailoring, and dressing red carpet regulars including Pierce Brosnan, Benedict Cumberbatch and Josh Dallas, it offers a full wardrobe of outerwear, leather goods and casualwear.
