Most streetwear is a logo on a blank. MERTRA offers the opposite: a label built on reverence for materials, considered detail, and technical construction. Its range spans outerwear, fleece, tracksuits, bags, headwear, and eyewear, and includes shells that react to heat, water, and light, bags and caps that convert, reversible outerwear, and fabrics chosen for both their properties and their rarity.
MERTRA operates from London, with offices in Melbourne and China, a team of 23, and a community of more than a million people across Instagram and TikTok. Every release has gone direct, timed to the minute, global from the first drop.
From today, MERTRA’s operations open in America, ending the customs charges, delays, and international shipping costs its US customers have absorbed since the beginning.
The US follows the UK, Europe and Australia, markets MERTRA entered the same way each time: releases first, presence later. America was earned before it was opened. MERTRA spent a month in the country this year, shooting campaigns in Los Angeles and New York with Lil Yachty, SAINTÉ, Mia Khalifa, Giovanna Ramos, and Camo!, and photographed its collaboration with British-Nigerian artist Olaolu Slawn, a run of hand-painted one-of-ones, on Lil Yachty in Atlanta.

Aron Willians, CEO and Founder of MERTRA, says: “When I started MERTRA in Australia, I was designing clothes for myself that I couldn’t find anywhere else. My outlook has always been cosmopolitan, drawn to art, music, sport, and fashion in equal measure. As the brand has grown, watching people from all over the world connect with what we’re doing has been nuts.
MERTRA has never been about a single scene or subculture. It’s about a shared outlook and an appreciation for the complexities and crossovers in modern life and self-expression, wherever people come from.
The US supported MERTRA from very early on, despite customers having to pay customs and wait weeks for their orders. Establishing a proper US operation was always a priority, and now our American customers can finally have the same experience as those in Australia, the UK, and Europe. Faster shipping, no additional charges, and full access to our archive and new releases.”
The full MERTRA range is now available to US customers: outerwear, fleece, tracksuits, bags, headwear and eyewear. The drop model remains exactly as it is everywhere else. Only the access has changed.
