Lili Reinhart is leaning into rom-com nostalgia while promoting “The Love Hypothesis”. The actress kicked off her latest press appearances with a glamorous tribute to one of the most recognizable movie fashion moments of the early 2000s. For the occasion, Reinhart transformed into Kate Hudson’s Andie Anderson from “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” in a gorgeous plunging gown.

Lili Reinhart slipped into a silky butter yellow gown that closely echoed Kate Hudson’s unforgettable look from the 2003 romantic comedy. The floor-length design featured a plunging V-shaped neckline and a fitted silhouette. The dress skimmed her figure before falling into a fluid skirt and sweeping train.
The biggest statement, however, came at the back. Reinhart’s gown featured a dramatically low-cut open back, with slender straps crossing over her bare skin. The revealing detail gave the nostalgic look a modern edge while still mimicking the elegant simplicity of Hudson’s original.
According to ELLE, stylist Ib Abdel Nasser revealed that the dress is a 2000s Caché dupe that was released shortly after the movie. Hudson’s original yellow gown was a custom Carolina Herrera creation made alongside costume designer Karen Patch.
Reinhart completed her homage with sparkling D’Orazio World diamond earrings by Zydo Italy. The dangling earrings added sparkle to her minimal outfit. She wore her blonde hair in a loose low updo with face-framing strands. Her makeup remained minimal, featuring glowing skin, rosy cheeks, and a glossy dark pink lip.
On Instagram, it was revealed that Reinhart’s version was made by Tatiana the Tailor. Additionally, Reinhart posted the pictures on her own feed, captioning it “you probably think this song is about you,” a line from Hudson’s iconic song from the film.
The tribute is also only the beginning. Abdel Nasser told ELLE that Reinhart will channel more leading ladies from the golden age of romantic comedies and romance films throughout “The Love Hypothesis” press tour.
